ViewSonic unveils pocket-sized 3D camcorder and compact Camcorder Projector

ViewSonic today unveils two new pocked-sized consumers devices – the 3DV5 3D HD Camcorder and DVP5 pocket camcorder projector.
The 3D HD Camcorder 3DV5 packs two 5 megapixel sensors, allowing you to capture standard 2D, as well 3D videos at 1280 x 720 and 3D still images. It has 2.4-inch 3D LCD, which lets you view your 3D videos or photos without the use of 3D glasses and of course you can also enjoy tour captured 3D content on 3D HDTVs using 3D shutter glasses. The camera has 10MB internal memory, SD/SDHC card slot, Li-ion rechargeable battery and comes with built-in software, designed for easy uploading and sharing of videos on YouTube 3D and Facebook. The 3DV5 Pocket 3D HD Camcorder is now available for an ESP of $179.99.

The other propose from ViewSonic is the DVP5 Pocket Camcorder Projector capable to shoots and projects photos and HD videos instantly on any surface. It packs 5 megapixel sensor too,  which allows you to take 720p HD videos and 5-megapixel photos. The build in projector utilizes LED backlight lamp technology with 200:1 contrast ratio, 15 Lumens of brightness and ViewSonic claims that has more than 20,000 hours lifetime. It is capable to project content from 6″ up to 65″ image size with 640 x 480 resolution from its build in 32MB build-in memory, Micro SD card slot or from from external devices using an AV jack, such as an iPod, iPhone, mobile phone, DVD player, camcorder, notebook/PC or game console. It also include Mini HDMI, Audio, USB ports and a 2100mAH Li-ion rechargeable battery, which offers up to two hours of recording time. The DVP5 has dimensions of 130mm x 62mm x 24mm, weights only0.44 lb and is now available for an ESP of $329.99.

Sony develops “NXCAM” HD camcorders lineup with 35mm large format sensor and E-mount lens system

A a new type of E-mount interchangeable lens camcorders for professional use are under development by Sony Corporation. The new line is equipped with a Super-35mm equivalent large format CMOS sensor and will be available in the middle of 2011.
The new Super-35mm sensor used in the upcoming “NXCAM” HD camcorders is specially designed for capturing motion pictures and will have “extraordinary performance in terms of picture quality and sensitivity” and is able to create rich “Bokeh” effect (beautifully defocused image). The camcorders also will be compatible with E-mount interchangeable lens system, that is identical to the “α” series NEX-5, 3 and “Handycam” NEX-VG10, in addition, a very short flange back distance (the distance between lens mount surface and sensor surface) let various “α” A-mount lenses be mounted via a mount adaptor (LA-EA1) and also wii be possible to attach many other lenses using third-party mount adaptors.

Sony’s new HD camcorders will record in AVCHD format and there is also a plan to implement 1080p (60p / 30p / 24p or 50p / 25p) recording modes.

BenQ launches M31 full HD camcorder with 10x optical zoom

BenQ has launched its latest pocket-sized camcorder which is capable of capture video at 1080p and is equipped with 10x optical zoom lens.
The small M31 is based on 10 megapixel sensor, has a 3.5-inch touch screen and integrates smart features such as an advanced Electronic Image Stabilizer (E.I.S.) with GYRO-sensor, Touch AF Lock and Face Exposure Tracking to record the faces of your family and friends. The camcorder also includes time lapse recording mode, allowing you to capture long events, while in the same tame takes up little storage space,  as well a Dual Stream recording function that simultaneously creates two different video files as videos are being filmed. It is available in Slick Grey” with a shade of blue and “Exotic Red” this month in China and will lands in Asia Pacific and Latin America in February 2011.

Samsung HMX-Q10 HD camcorder flips screen automatically

Samsung Electronics rolls out a new digital camcorder which features the Switch Grip technology with G-magnetic sensor inside that turns the LCD display automatically, allowing you to recording easily from any angle.
The compact Samsung HMX-Q10 has dimensions of 43.7 x 53.3 x 119.4 mm and makes use of a 5 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor,  capable of shooting 1920×1080/60i or 720p HD videos and 4.9-megapixel still photos. It is equipped with Schneider-Kreuznach Varioplan 10x optical zoom lens with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) to compensate for hand-shaking, 2.7-inch touchscreen with Smart Access user interface (UI) which allows you to turn the camcorder on and off and operate the playback function easily through the LCD screen.

The HMX-Q10’s features also include Samsung’s Smart Auto scene recognition technology, Face detection, Art Film function,  as well plenty of  Manual Mode setting (White Balance, Exposure Values, Backlighting, Self Timer, and C.Nite), and also include an SD/SDHC card slot, and USB and HDMI connectors. JVC Everio GS-TD1 World’s First Full HD 3D Camcorder

JVC revealed at CES the Everio GS-TD1 camcorder which they claim is the world’s first consumer camcorder to offer 3D recording in Full HD.
The new GS-TD1 uses two 3D Twin HD GT Lens and two 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensors paired with JVC Falconbird image processing engine , allowing it to capture left and right images at 1920 x 1080i. It has a 3.5-inch 3D touch3D LCD monitor that can displays 3D images and playback 3D in the field without need of 3D glasses. Other features include 3D optical 5x zoom, Optical Axis Automatic Stabilization System for disparity control to give depth to 3D images, 3D Time-Lapse recording, JVC’s BIPHONIC technology for dynamic 3D sound and Automatic Parallax Adjustment to optimize the 3D-video comfort zone and round iris diaphragms that enable beautiful bokeh effect (background blurring) shooting of video and stills alike.

JVC GS-TD1 has 64GB internal Flash Memory with SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot and will be available in March for $1,999.95.
JVC has also announced the Everio GZ-HM960 camcorder, which is capable to convert 2D video into 3D and can be viewed on it 3.5-inch touchscreen without glasses, or by connecting the camcorder to an external 3D television. It packs 10.6-megapixel back illuminated CMOS sensors, f/1.2 lens with a 29.9mm wide angle, built-in Bluetooth technology that enables integration with other devices, such as smartphones, to synch images with Google Maps. GZ-HM960 also offers Full HD recording at a 24Mbps bitrate -AVCHD compression(but can’t  record 3D video),  10x optical zoom,  16GB of internal flash memory, SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slots and will be available in February for $949.95.

Turtle Beach reveals new Gaming Headsets for PlayStation 3, XBOX 360 and PC

Premium gaming peripherals maker Turtle Beach has announced its new headsets for PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 consoles, and PC gamers. The new offer includes three new models – the Ear Force PX5 Programmable Wireless Surround Sound Headset, Ear Force P11 Amplified Stereo Gaming Headset for PS3/PC, and the XC1 XBOX LIVE Communicator Headset, which will all debut during this year CES  in Las Vegas.
For the Wireless Dolby 7.1 PX5,  Turtle Beach says that is the most technologically-advanced headset ever designed for PS3 and XBOX 360 gaming. It features a programmable digital signal processor to allow independent customization of the chat, game and microphone signals. The headset packs 50mm diameter speakers with neodymium magnets with frequency response of 20Hz – 20kHz, >120dB SPL @ 1kHz and a condenser microphone. The manufacturer also claims that the PX5 is the first headset to incorporate dual radios—one Dolby Digital surround sound game audio and a second for chat on the PlayStation Network via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth features dual-pairing mode and A2DP compatibility, so the headset supports stereo audio streaming for listening to music while playing a game and can accept a phone call while wearing the headset.

The PX5 is PS3, XBOX 360 and PC compatible and user can stored up to 18 personalized presets custom settings which can be selected during specific parts of the game to emphasize sounds like footsteps or reloads that might otherwise be difficult to hear. The headsets operates with two AA batteries which “power up” the gaming session for up to 15 hours. The will be available this spring for $249.95.

The next one is Ear Force P11 Amplified Stereo Gaming Headset designed for the PlayStation 3 and also compatible with PC/Mac. They are also equipped with 50mm drivers, condenser microphone and in-line amplifier with Mic mute switch and independent Chat and game audio controls. The P11 also features oversized fabric mesh ear cushions and  Bass Boost for more depth and realism to the game audio. They also will land this spring for $59.95.

And finally is the affordable Ear Force XC1 Communicator headset ($24.95) which is designed specifically for the XBOX 360.
